I needed a coffee, but Im super picky & always get the same thing from a local shop back home (WV). I tried the iced latte with white chocolate syrup, oatmilk, & sweet cold foam on top- extra cold foam. It was sooo good I drank that one & immediately ordered another. Pat was so nice & helped me decide what to get. The day before I tried a different shop & didn’t like the drink at all, so I appreciated Pat going out of her way & helping me. The rest of her crew were all very nice & friendly. We will be back tomorrow!

Surf City Coffee is the place for espresso drinks, smoothies, hot chocolate, and locally handcrafted souvenirs on Topsail Island. Surf City serves coffee from Java Estate Roastery, founded in Wilmington and now roasting in Holly Ridge. The staff were competent, quick, and kind. Even as out of town visitors, we felt welcome and could see becoming regulars if we lived closer or spent more time at the beach!

LOVE this coffee shop! Service is fantastic, the baristas are friendly, and it’s very important to them that your drink is correct before you leave. The shop is beachy and fun, and they have a good selection of local art too. If you come to Surf City, be sure to check them out.

The customer service at surf city coffee was amazing. The employees take the time to ask questions about how you like your drink before starting and then offer to make adjustments as needed once you taste your coffee. The baristas suggestions led me to get a flavor combo I wouldn’t normally choose and it was fantastic. She asked if I liked my coffee sweet and I said not super sweet so she also adjusted the flavors so that the coffee would be the foremost flavor. It came out to be a perfect morning latte! Even with individualized help the line moves fast. My group of 5 all had coffee in hand quickly. We will 100% come back here!

Awesome place for a quit breakfast snack, amazing fruit granola cup. This place feels like home. Had to visit 3 of 4 days. Of course they had a pup cup for the dog! Will definitely visit anytime I’m in town! You guys are amazing!

This coffee shop was so good. The coffee was amazing. I went in there and I don’t know too much about coffee and they were nice enough to help me out that’s more than a can say for most places. The little gift shop they had was also cute. 10/10 would come here again

An absolute pleasure stopping into this coffee shop. The owner Pat is the kindest, sweetest soul and we were treated like family in her shop. Genuinely such an amazing person! The drinks were delicious, and customizable to suit allergies. Banana bread is a must buy. The art, jewelry, and nic nacs were wonderfully crafted by local artists. Skip Starbucks or Dunkin and support this local shop, you won’t regret it!
